Ranks and charts use the U.S. Social Security Administration’s public baby name data. They describe babies born in the United States only, and they do not cover names given to fewer than five babies in a year. Popularity elsewhere can be very different.

Sound scores are our judgment, and the match score is a simple formula explained on how we rank names. Quiz results are for fun and inspiration. None of them say anything about a child’s character or future.
